Mustafa Ali Finished With TNA For Now

Mustafa Ali gone from TNA Wrestling for the time being

Mustafa Ali is finished with TNA Wrestling, at least for the time being, according to a new report from Fightful Select.

Speculation suggested Ali had finished up with TNA Wrestling in recent weeks following his presidential statement about moving on from the X Division. Ali was then absent from TNA Wrestling's tapings in early August from Tampa, Florida.

Ali had been with TNA Wrestling since the beginning of 2024 and he quickly won the X-Division Championship, defeating Chris Sabin at February's No Surrender TNA+ special. Ali went on to defend the belt against the likes of Ace Austin, Trent Seven, and Jake Something before he dropped the X-Division Title to "Speedball" Mike Bailey at Slammiversary in a match with a Montreal Screwjob callback.

Ali unsuccessfully challenged Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship on the August 1 episode of TNA IMPACT and that was his final appearance in the promotion.

Although Ali had been one of TNA's top stars in 2024, he was only signed to a per-appearance deal. Ali's future plans are currently unknown beyond that he has independent wrestling bookings until at least October.
