Mustafa Ali Says He Is No Longer Working With WWE

Mustafa Ali gone from WWE?

While his departure has not been confirmed, Mustafa Ali has claimed on Twitter/X that he is no longer working with WWE.

Ali tweeted: "I am longer working with WWE. I look forward to the future. Thank you, -Adeel."

He then added: "No longer*. Sorry for the confusion."

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has since reported that Ali being gone is part of wider talent cuts, tweeting: "I've been told there was a misunderstanding, and there are rumblings that there will be some talent cuts today in WWE unfortunately."

Major cuts to WWE's talent roster have been rumoured since the completion of the merger between WWE and UFC on Tuesday, September 12.

Ali signed with WWE back in 2016 after competing in the Cruiserweight Classic. He requested his WWE release back in January 2022 but that request was rejected.

Ali has been a featured performer on WWE NXT since May 2023. He was scheduled to appear on next week's edition of Monday Night Raw to continue the build to his NXT North American Title match against Dominik Mysterio at No Mercy on September 30.
