Mustafa Ali Signs With TNA

Mustafa Ali has returned to TNA Wrestling, with the former X-Division Champion making his grand return on the live IMPACT on January 23.

Ali interrupted a promo by Mike Santana, with Ali telling the audience that he has officially signed a deal with TNA Wrestling, before declaring that TNA needs great leadership and that Ali is that great leader. Ali - still portraying his politician gimmick - declared he was going to become the next TNA World Champion.

This marks the beginning of Ali’s second run in the promotion, after a quick 20-match run in the first half of 2024 that saw Ali tear through the roster, winning the X-Division Championship from Chris Sabin on his in-ring debut in February before dropping it to Mike Bailey at Slammiversary in July, then departing the following week.

After departing TNA in the Summer, pitches were allegedly made within All Elite Wrestling to secure Ali’s signature, but it seems the lure of the TNA World Championship was too great to resist. There’s no word yet on how long Ali’s new TNA deal is.
