Past Pitches Made Within AEW To Bring In Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali has had an excellent 2024, with the former TNA X-Division Champion having wrestled in NJPW, TNA, and been an attractive commodity on the independent scene. But could Ali become ‘All Elite’?

Since exiting TNA after dropping the X-Division Championship to Mike Bailey at Slammiversary in July, Ali has been without a permanent home, having gone on to wrestle for GCW and HOG amongst others. During a recent Q&A session with Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select, the subject of Ali signing with All Elite Wrestling was brought up, with Sapp suggesting that pitches have been made within AEW to bring Ali in, but nothing ever materialised.

Whether this means that the chances of Ali coming into AEW are dead in the water or not remains unclear, but as of writing Ali remains a free agent, and has only lost a handful of matches all year, doing the honours for the likes of Bailey, Nic Nemeth, and Hiromu Takahashi.

AEW have brought in several big stars in 2024, with the signings of Mercedes Moné, Will Ospreay, and Kazuchika Okada in early 2024 real statements of intent from the promotion after a cool period of interest.
