Representatives for Janel Grant have announced that WWE have not waived nondisclosure agreements which they allege would allow former and current WWE employees to speak freely about abuse they have suffered within the company.

The confirmation was noted in a press release about a Forbes article which revealed that WWE does not have sexual harassment guidelines listed on their corporate website.

Janel Gant's spokesperson Kendra Barkoff Lamy said: "WWE has been sued many times for failing to protect employees from sexual misconduct by executives and toxic workplace culture, including by Janel Grant, who endured years of sexual abuse at the hands of founder and former WWE CEO Vince McMahon, WWE executive John Laurinaitis, and the WWE organization."

Grant's attorney Ann Callis asked for NDAs that Vince McMahon has signed with former and current WWE employees to be waived in early October within an email sent to WWE attorneys, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis. WWE President Nick Khan, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, and TKO CEO Ari Emanuel were copied into the email.

Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis in January 2024, within which she accused Vince McMahon of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse. WWE are accused of trying to cover up the allegations against Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis is accused of sexual assault.

A grand jury subpoena issued to Vince McMahon over documents related to any allegations of "rape, sex trafficking, sexual assault, commercial sex transaction, harassment, or discrimination" confirmed McMahon had signed nondisclosure agreements with several women.

Women who have signed NDAs include a WWE contractor who was allegedly sexually harassed by McMahon, a former WWE wrestler who the 79-year-old allegedly coerced into giving him oral sex, a spa manager who McMahon allegedly sexually assaulted, and former WWE referee Rita Chatterton who was allegedly raped by McMahon. A former WWE employee who accused John Laurinaitis of demoting her after she broke off their affair also signed an NDA.
