MVP Issues Statement On His WWE Run Ahead Of Expected Exit

MVP has commented ahead of his expected WWE exit

It was recently revealed that MVP’s WWE deal is nearing its expiration, with the former United States Champion expected to depart the company for a second time when his contract ends in August 2024.

MVP took to Instagram to reflect on his most recent run, writing the following caption:

“I came back so my baby boy could see “Daddy” in a WWE ring. “The Royal Rumble.” That’s all I wanted. A one off. I was ready to retire. Then, I received an offer to become a producer. The pandemic hit. I became a producer AND a commentator for Main Event. Next, they asked me to put the boots on and help out with TV during the “PC Era”. One episode of RAW, “MVP” was in NINE segments! Heyman agreed to put me and Roberto together. I signed a full time talent contract. And then we made history. What a ride!!!!”

Expectations are for MVP and Bobby Lashley to reform The Hurt Business outside of WWE, with Lashley also expected to exit the company, whilst former HB stablemate Shelton Benjamin currently wrestles on the independent scene.
