Update On Malakai Black's AEW Contract

Latest on Malakai Black's AEW deal

An update has emerged on Malakai Black's contract with All Elite Wrestling following a report that it was expiring "relatively soon."

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Malakai Black is signed to a deal that "takes him into 2025" with AEW. Tony Khan stated back in the Summer of 2022 that Black had "almost five years left on his deal" but Fightful Select has reported that there were conditions in Black's contract that could reduce the amount of time he is under contract.

Fightful also noted that people within AEW believe Black's deal runs until the end of the year and two option years were added on at one point. If those option years are still applicable is unknown, however.

Malakai Black has been a part of AEW since the Summer of 2021, joining the company shortly after he was released by WWE. He is a part of House of Black with Brody King, Buddy Matthews, and Julia Hart. Black is a former AEW World Trios Champion with Matthews and King while Julia Hart is a former AEW TBS Champion.

Buddy Matthews signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling earlier this year.
