MVP Provides An Update On His In-Ring Status

MVP talks about his WWE in-ring status

Despite primarily serving as a manager since his WWE return in 2020, MVP still laces up his boots from time-to-time, with the former US Champion having wrestled a little over 40 matches in the past three years.

MVP last competed in July 2022, and during a conversation with Chris Van Vliet, MVP revealed how much gas he has left in the tank:

"I've got a few [matches] left. I haven't hung the boots up yet. I'm not as eager to climb into the ring as I once was, but when necessary, I'm still capable," said MVP.

"I take pretty good care of myself and I try to stay active, I still do Brazilian jiu-jitsu, but as I've gotten older, my workouts have changed. I don't do regular bodybuilder workouts. Now, I try to do workouts that are more about function and movement. I am coming into my age and embracing my mortality," continued MVP.

A veteran of over 20 years, MVP is a former two-time WWE United States Champion, and one-time WWE Tag Team Champion, as well as the inaugural IWGP Intercontinental Champion during his run in NJPW.
