Pretty much anyone who worked as an announcer while Vince McMahon was running WWE will likely have a story about the former CEO screaming at them via their headset while they were on the air. Several announcers have relayed stories about McMahon's yelling, with Mick Foley admitting it made him quit as SmackDown colour commentator in 2008.

MVP, however, found a way to avoid it.

Speaking with Huge Pop!, the current AEW star revealed how he would escape the treatment, saying:

"I figured out something real quick. Vince would make suggestions on what to say, and I figured out real quickly, what I would hear in my headset, the mic would key, I know Vince was about to make a suggestion. I would say something before he could speak because I know whatever I say is going to be way better than whatever he suggested. I would hear the mic click like he was about to say something, and then I would say something, and I would hear the mic click out. That would happen all the time. I just knew he was going to say something and I would say something quick and witty and I would hear the mic key out. I guess he would go, 'Okay, that was good'".

MVP added that McMahon never called him out on it, claiming that Vince didn't know he was doing it on purpose.

The 51-year-old Hurt Syndicate member recently said that the 'clock is ticking' on his in-ring career.
