MVP Says The 'Clock Is Ticking' On His Career
MVP doesn't believe he has long left inside the ring
Jan 19, 2025
One, two, you hear the clock tickin’.
MVP made his in-ring debut for AEW on this past week’s Maximum Carnage episode of AEW Dynamite, teaming up with fellow Hurt Syndicate allies Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley to defeat the trio of Private Party & Mark Briscoe. When looking ahead, MVP doesn’t believe he has all too long left in the ring, despite his recent debut.
Sharing a clip onto Instagram of his performance on Dynamite, MVP captioned the video stating that the clock is ticking on his in-ring career.
“Vintage MVP!!!! 2025 and I'm still BALLIN!!! The clock is ticking on my in ring career. I don't have much time left. But I promise to give you everything I've got until I finally reach the final match.”
MVP has wrestled just three times since 2022, only returning to the ring in recent months for GCW after over two years away from in-ring competition. On the January 18 episode of AEW Collision, MVP issued a challenge out to Private Party for the Hurt Syndicate to get an AEW World Tag Team Championship match, which was soon made official for the January 22 edition of Dynamite.
