Championship Match Official For January 22 AEW Dynamite

AEW is heading to the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in Knoxville, Tennessee this upcoming Wednesday on January 22 for their weekly episode of AEW Dynamite, and the show will feature a title match. 

In recent weeks, The Hurt Syndicate have set their sights firmly on the AEW World Tag Team Champions Private Party, even picking up a victory in trios action also involving Mark Briscoe on last week’s AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage episode. This led to a backstage promo airing on last night’s AEW Collision in which MVP officially laid out the challenge for Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley to step up and challenge for the gold. The match was confirmed soon after.

Private Party won the gold last year on the AEW Fright Night Dynamite, defeating The Young Bucks to finally become the AEW World Tag Team Champions in what was reportedly not the original plan. They have since successfully defended the titles on two occasions. 

The updated card for AEW Dynamite this week is as follows:

• Private Party (c) vs. The Hurt Syndicate - AEW World Tag Team Championships
• Cope vs. PAC
• Jamie Hayter vs. Julia Hart
• Samoa Joe vs. Nick Wayne
