More on the Authors Of Pain's pro-wrestling return
The name and logo for Authors Of Pain's independent wrestling promotion has been revealed.
Rezar - real name Gzim Selmani - filed to trademark 'Wrestling Entertainment Series' and 'WES Wrestling Entertainment Series' on May 3 for entertainment purposes.
The description of both trademarks was as follows:
'C 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment, namely, a continuing wrestling contests show broadcast over television, satellite, audio, and video media; Organization of sports competitions; Organization of entertainment events in the nature of wrestling contests; Organizing sporting events, namely, wrestling contests; Providing online non-downloadable videos in the field of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of a wrestling club; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing television programs, not downloadable, via video-on-demand transmission services.'
The Authors Of Pain have been away from professional wrestling since their WWE releases in 2020 but it emerged last week that Rezar and Akam were planning to run an indy show in Dubai in early June, with plans for them to wrestle at the event too.
During their four-year WWE run, AOP held the NXT Tag Team Championships and Raw Tag Team Titles. They were also the 2016 winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
