Naomi Says She Is No Longer With WWE

Naomi is seemingly gone from WWE

Naomi hasn’t been seen in WWE for nearly a year after walking out of the company, and it seems that the former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion is indeed done with the organisation after saying she is no longer part of WWE.

Naomi and former tag partner Mercedes Moné (fka Sasha Banks) are set to appear at the forthcoming WrestleCon event in LA, and when asked if she was still part of WWE underneath an Instagram post, Naomi simply wrote “no frien’”.

The former WWE star recently trademarked 'Trinity Starr' for professional wrestling and merchandise purposes, so that will seemingly be her new in-ring name.

After walking out of WWE due to reported dissatisfaction with creative, Naomi - real name Trinity Fatu - has been busy with projects outside of the pro-wrestling bubble. When Moné debuted for NJPW at Wrestle Kingdom 17 in January, it prompted questions as to Naomi’s WWE status, with nothing said publicly from either side as to the status of her employment.

If what Naomi says is indeed true, then she bows out of WWE after a 13-year run with the company, with the former Funkadactyl a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, one-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, and a one-time WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal winner, having won the inaugural match in 2018 at WrestleMania 34.
