New AEW World Title Belt Revealed On Dynamite

New champion and a new AEW World Championship

All Elite Wrestling have officially scrapped MJF's BBB (Big Burberry Belt) version of the AEW World Championship.

Samoa Joe announced following his title win at Worlds End that the BBB would be going in the bin and the Samoan Submission Machine made his way to the ring on the special Homecoming edition of Dynamite with a new title belt. The new strap has received some minor alterations as it has a black strap once again and the title also now has custom sideplates for each champion.

A leaked image of a possible new AEW World Title belt included a black background for the AEW logo but the promotion seemingly decided to reverse that change as no amendments were made to the centre of the championship.

Samoa Joe's appearance on Dynamite marked the beginning of a new era for the AEW World Title as the 44-year-old noted he was introducing a "championship protocol" where potential challengers need to apply to the championship committee for a title shot. He also called for wrestlers to stop whining on social media.

Joe's first AEW World Title defence was determined on the show and he will put the championship on the line against HOOK on next week's edition of Dynamite.
