New Champions Crowned At AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday

AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday saw new champions crowned

All Elite Wrestling held a special Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite on October 10, a night that saw a changing of the guard in two divisions.

In the first of Dynamite’s two title matches, Rey Fenix put the AEW International Championship up against longest-reigning champ Orange Cassidy, with Cassidy having dropped the belt to Jon Moxley at All Out in September. Cassidy stepped up on October 10 as Jon Moxley was not medically cleared to face Fenix, with Cassidy regaining the belt in a quick match, rocking Fenix with an Orange Punch and a mousetrap pin to reclaim the gold.

Post-match, Cassidy looked almost transfixed by the title, even momentarily blanking his CHAOS team-mates Best Friends and Rocky Romero, and recent ally HOOK. Cassidy’s first run with the belt clocked in at 326 days, with Cassidy proving himself to be the workhorse of AEW before dropping the belt to Moxley. Moxley in-turn dropped the title to Fenix at Grand Slam III after suffering a mid-match concussion and calling an audible.

Elsewhere on Dynamite, AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya put the belt on the line against former two-time champion Hikaru Shida, but it was not The Outcast’s night. Saraya’s team-mate Ruby Soho attempted to interfere and spray Shida, but received a literal shoeing from ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm. Shida then kicked out of two Knight Caps before rolling Saraya up for the win.

Shida now stands as the first ever three-time AEW Women’s World Champion, regaining the title she initially lost to Saraya at AEW All In in August 2023.
