New Date Of First WWE Saudi Arabia Show Of 2019 Reportedly Revealed

Moved from previously-reported date...

Previous reports of WWE's 2019 pay-per-view schedule listed Friday, May 3 as the date of the currently-unnamed Saudi Arabia card, although this appears to no longer be the case.

Dave Meltzer reports in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the date of the Saudi Arabia show has been changed to Friday, June 7. Meltzer does add that nothing has been formally announced by WWE regarding any changes.

As it stands, a live event slate for the western half of the United States would be compromised by this change of date. House shows from June 7 through 9 in Denver, CO, Boise, ID, Oakland, CA, and Stockton, CA would likely need to be rescheduled if the Saudi Arabia show is being moved as the plan indicates.

The new date puts the Saudi event one day before an NXT TakeOver card in San Jose, which Meltzer notes would require two different production crews to pull off.

The second 2019 Saudi Arabia card, tentatively scheduled for Friday, November 1, appears to still be on as scheduled for that date.
