New Match Set For IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2

More matches official for IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2

Sami Callihan might be on the receiving end of a DOUKI Chokey later this month following the announcement that the former IMPACT World Champion and DOUKI will go one-on-one at IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2. The joint pay-per-view is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 20 at Philadelphia's 2300 Arena.

Multiverse United will be Callihan and DOUKI's first meeting inside the squared circle. Callihan is currently a featured performer on IMPACT TV as part of his tag team with Rich Swann. DOUKI, meanwhile, is a member of New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Just 5 Guys. He appeared on AEW programming earlier this year, losing to Jack Perry on the June 23 edition of Rampage.

Multiple matches have already been announced for IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2, including an IMPACT World Title match that will see Alex Shelley defend the belt against Hiroshi Tanahashi. Zack Sabre Jr. will also be in action alongside TMDK stablemate Shane Haste when they take on Moose and Eddie Edwards, while Lio Rush and Trey Miguel are scheduled to face Hiromu Takahashi and Mike Bailey.

Deonna Purrazzo has also issued an open challenge to World Wonder Ring Stardom for the event, but no one has answered that challenge as of yet.
