New Matches Added To WWE Payback
WWE have added two singles matches to the upcoming PPV
The WWE Payback premium live event is the next on the calendar, and it will take place on September 2nd in a week’s time. With the event approaching at a rapid rate, WWE have added some more matches to the card, announcing two bouts on last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
After going back and forth in promos, costing each other matches, and engaging in brawls ever since the SummerSlam event last month, LA Knight and The Miz will finally go one on one in a singles match at Payback. This rivalry has developed into a personal one, jam-packed with insults and digs.
A rematch has also been added to the Payback card, as the brand new United States Champion Rey Mysterio will put his title on the line against the former champion Austin Theory, who earned another shot at the gold after beating LA Knight last week.
The updated match card for Payback is as follows;
- Seth Rollins (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura - World Heavyweight Championship
- Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez - Women’s World Championship
- LA Knight vs. The Miz
- Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus - Steel Cage
- Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Austin Theory - United States Championship
