New Matches Announced For AEW WrestleDream
AEW have announced some new matches for the upcoming WrestleDream event
Sep 23, 2023
AEW WrestleDream is fast approaching, and more matches are being announced for this first-time ever PPV event.
On last night’s episode of AEW Rampage, a returning Kenny Omega saved Chris Jericho from a beatdown at the hands of newly turned heel Sammy Guevara, Konosuke Takeshita, and Don Callis. The Winnipeg born duo of Omega and Jericho had a backstage promo following this, and issued out a challenge for WrestleDream. It was also teased that Kota Ibushi would once again come back for a big AEW match, making it a six-man encounter, so the Don Callis Family will need to find another ally.
Additionally on AEW Rampage, The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch) outlasted The Hardys, The Kingdom, and Best Friends in a four way to earn a shot at the ROH World Tag Team Titles at WrestleDream. The reigning champions are the popular Better Than You Baby tandem of AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole, though with Cole’s reported injury on Dynamite, this match is currently up in the air.
