New Number One Contender For AEW International Championship Revealed

Orange Cassidy's first challenger has been revealed

Orange Cassidy is once again the AEW International Champion, and he is looking to pick up from where he left off in what will be his first defence in this new reign at tonight’s Battle of the Belts VIII.

On last night’s episode of AEW Rampage, the Dark Order’s John Silver won a triple threat number one contenders match also featuring Kip Sabian and Isiah Kassidy, earning a shot at the International Title. This will be Silver’s first shot at the AEW International Title, and his first shot for a singles belt in AEW since all the way back in 2021 when he challenged Darby Allin for the TNT Championship.

Cassidy and Silver previously battled at AEW Full Gear 2020 in a singles match.

The full card for Battle of the Belts looks like this;

  • Orange Cassidy (c) vs. John Silver - AEW International Championship
  • Kris Statlander (c) vs. Willow Nightingale - AEW TBS Championship
  • The Acclaimed & “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn (c) vs. Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, & Daniel Garcia - AEW World Trios Championships
