A new WWE signing made their debut on Tuesday night.

Ahead of the February 6 edition of NXT, WWE taped matches for the February 9 edition of NXT Level Up. The opening match of the taping saw Je'Von Evans make his in-ring debut, sustaining a loss to Brooks Jensen. It was noted that Evans is new WWE signing Jay Malachi, a former standout on the independent wrestling scene in the United States.

Malachi has since changed his social media profile to Je'Von Evans, confirming his WWE name.

Only 20 years old, Jay Malachi had a tryout for WWE back in October 2023 and he was offered a deal by the company soon after. It emerged in late 2023 that he had accepted that deal and would soon report to the WWE Performance Center. This resulted in Malachi vacating the DEADLOCK Pro Wrestling Championship in November.

Another new WWE signing in Wren Sinclair (FKA Madi Wrenkowski) made her WWE debut in January.
