Potential SPOILER On Tony Khan's Big AEW Announcement

Tony Khan's big announcement possibly spoiled

Tony Khan's "big announcement" on tonight's edition of AEW Dynamite appears to have been spoiled.

The TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts have added a taping of AEW Dynamite and Rampage to their calendar for Wednesday, March 13 on the arena's Facebook page.

"It appears TD Garden has spoiled Tony Khan’s announcement for tonight. They just added a show for 3/13. Perhaps a 'Bank Holiday' or something similar," WrestleVotes tweeted.

Tonight's announcement was speculated to be in relation to Mercedes Moné and Boston, Massachusetts is the former IWGP Women's Champion's hometown. Whether AEW will officially announce Moné's signing tonight on Dynamite is unknown but the promotion may decide to treat it as the worst-kept secret in wrestling, similar to CM Punk's debut in August 2021 at the United Center.

Moné and All Elite Wrestling have been flirting with each other since the Summer of 2023. Talks between the two sides collapsed later in the year but restarted soon after, with Moné's AEW signing being all but confirmed in late January by people within WWE. Plans were also reportedly already in place to make an announcement about Mercedes Moné but it ended up being delayed due to Vince McMahon's resignation from WWE.

Recent reports have noted that Moné will be physically appearing on AEW programming in March. She is believed to have already filmed content for her AEW debut too.
