New Singles Match Set For IMPACT Under Siege

IMPACT adds another singles match to the Under Siege lineup.

IMPACT's upcoming Under Siege special is set to include talent from fellow promotions NJPW and AAA, but an all-IMPACT singles match has recently been added to the show as well.

On the official IMPACT Wrestling website, the company announced:

"At Rebellion, Steve Maclin proved that he belongs with the best when he pinned Chris Sabin to win a Triple Threat match, also involving Bullet Club leader Jay White. But when IMPACT Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore named Tomohiro Ishii as the #1 Contender for Josh Alexander‘s IMPACT World Title, the former Marine was furious. Following a confrontation with D’Amore, Maclin learned that he already had a match at Under Siege – a singles bout with a determined Chris Sabin. Will Maclin continue his climb to the top or will the Motor City Machine Gun gain a measure of revenge?"

Maclin, who formerly wrestled in WWE as Steve Cutler, has made waves since his IMPACT debut last year. Initially wrestling as part of the X-Division, he now appears to have set his sights on the IMPACT World Championship recently won by Josh Alexander.

Other matches confirmed for Under Siege include:

  • Josh Alexander (c) vs. Tomohiro Ishii - IMPACT World Championship
  • Taya Valkyrie (c) vs. Deonna Purrazzo - AAA Reina de Reinas Championship
  • Bullet Club vs. Honor No More
