New Tag Team Forms On WWE Main Event

Will the tag team last?

A new tag team was formed during Monday's Main Event taping from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

On the taping ahead of Monday Night Raw, Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali teamed together for the first time since a November 2018 episode of 205 Live. The new pairing didn't have any success, though, as they were defeated by Otis and Chad Gable of Alpha Academy.

Both Ali and Alexander have not been utilised on Monday Night Raw this month and they have instead found themselves booked on Main Event. Ali was previously feuding with Theory over the United States Championship, while Alexander was involved in the programme between Omos and Bobby Lashley. Both of those storylines came to an end at Hell In A Cell.

Alexander and Ali do have a history inside the squared circle and they faced off for the vacant Cruiserweight Championship on the WrestleMania 34 Kickoff Show.

Also on Main Event, Akira Tozawa picked up his first singles win in two years, defeating Reggie.
