New TNT Champion Crowned During Debut Episode Of AEW Collision

Luchasaurus is the new TNT Champion

All Elite Wrestling has a new TNT Champion.

Wardlow put his belt on the line in the first-ever AEW Collision match as he went one-on-one with Luchasaurus. The TNT Champion had to deal with interference from Christian Cage throughout and this time Arn Anderson wasn't with the Wardog due to recent events on AEW TV.

Wardlow managed to survive two Chokeslams from Luchasaurus and he initially ignored another distraction from Christian, hitting Luchasaurus with shot after shot in the corner. Luchasaurus suddenly abandoned the corner, however, and distracted the referee which allowed Christian Cage to deck Wardlow with a camera.

One pinfall from Luchasaurus later and he was the new TNT Champion. Christian Cage then celebrated as if he was the new champion, holding the TNT Title belt aloft from Luchasaurus' shoulders.

The loss on Collision ends Wardlow's third TNT Title reign after 59 days. He regained the gold for a third time back on April 19, defeating Powerhouse Hobbs. The Wardog has been ever-present in the TNT Championship picture for much of the past year since he first won the gold back in July 2022 from Scorpio Sky.

The win for Luchasurus sees him hold gold for the second time in AEW. He is a former AEW World Tag Team Champion with "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry as Jurassic Express.
