New Women's Tag Team Champions Crowned On WWE NXT
The Belts changed hands in a vicious main event
May 5, 2021
Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae are your new NXT Women's Tag Team Champions.
'The Way' defeated Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon in a brutal Street Fight for the Titles on Tuesday's episode of the black and gold brand.
The finish to the match saw Hartwell put Moon through a table at ringside, before LeRae took out Blackheart with a brass knuckles shot before hitting a Wicked Stepsister onto a steel chair to get the pinfall.
In claiming the belts, Hartwell and LeRae are the third team to hold the NXT Women's Tag Team Titles since they were introduced to the brand earlier this year. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez were the first, being awarded the Championships as the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, before losing the Titles to Moon and Blackheart later in the same evening.
The win in the main event of Tuesday's NXT means 'The Way' now hold two Championships in NXT, with Johnny Gargano holding the North American Title as well.
