News On AEW & Other Wrestling Companies Potentially Being Interested In Running Unique Venue

Professional wrestling promotions may want to run a unique Las Vegas venue

The Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada is one of the most unique and bizarre venues on the planet, with it being the most expensive venue made in Las Vegas. Opening in September of last year, it has seen several music and entertainment events hosted, but never a professional wrestling show.

A report from Fightful Select has revealed that some professional wrestling promotions are potentially interested in running The Sphere. In speaking to those associated with the venue, Fightful were told that there has been enquiries into holding professional wrestling shows in The Sphere, though not until 2025 at least.

When it comes to the potential of AEW running The Sphere, it isn’t known if they are wanting to head there specifically, but there has been talk of Double Or Nothing 2025 being held in an “another venue” in Vegas. It is noted that due to WrestleMania 41 taking place in the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas next year, it is up in the air whether or not AEW will head back there for Double Or Nothing next year.

In terms of concrete plans nothing is set in stone, and thus far the interest has only been at the level of enquiries.
