NFL Player Fined For Stone Cold Steve Austin Beer Celebration

The NFL have said 'Oh hell no' to a Stone Cold Steve Austin celebration.

A player in the National Football League has been fined for his Stone Cold-inspired celebration.

Stefon Diggs, who plays as a wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, has been docked $13,569 by the NFL after scoring a touchdown for his team in their game against the Miami Dolphins last Sunday.

Diggs celebrated by smashing some fans' beer cans together in the style of the Texas Rattlesnake. The NFL ruled that the celebration was 'unsportsmanlike'. Diggs would joke after the game that he owed somebody $18 for the beers, but that was far from the bottom line.

Speaking of Austin, some fans have speculated that he may be in line for a match with CM Punk, should the Straight-Edge Superstar return to WWE.

The WWE Hall of Famer earlier this year spoke about his friendship with Punk, noting that they still trade messages and speak once or twice a year.

Though a showdown between the two would no doubt pique the interest of many who were hopeful it might happen during Punk's initial WWE run, Austin himself is not planning to lobby for one more match (after coming out of retirement to defeat Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38).
