Nic Nemeth (FKA) Dolph Ziggler Reveals Talks With Tony Khan

Nic Nemeth had talks with AEW's Tony Khan

After his near two-decade stay with WWE came to an end in September 2023, Nic Nemeth (FKA Dolph Ziggler) has had quite the time finding his feet in the wider world of professional wrestling. Nemeth has already got his hands on the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship and the AAA Mega Championship, whilst also challenging for top gold in TNA too.

In an interview on the Eyes Up Here podcast, Nemeth revealed that he’d had conversations with Tony Khan about potentially coming to AEW.

"I talked to Tony a long time ago and he was like, 'Just so you know, you can do anything you want while you work here. He wants everyone to have a good time and doing the best possible thing. That's awesome, and a lot of people did think I was going to AEW, and I love a bunch of people in AEW, I love AEW, Tony's freaking great. I was just weighing my options and figuring out, I didn't have a plan."

Ultimately, Nemeth opted to take up the offer to appear in TNA and other promotions for now. Nemeth explained that he wanted to make a name for himself on the independents and isn’t looking to tie down another long-term contract after spending so long in WWE.
