Nick Khan: WWE Aren't Actively Looking To Sell The Company

WWE have taken calls, though

WWE President Nick Khan has revealed to Sports Business Journal that WWE aren't actively looking to sell the company, nor are they currently in discussions about a possible sale.

This doesn't mean there hasn't been any interest in buying the company and Khan admitted WWE have taken "some inbound calls" from parties looking to purchase the promotion.

Speculation about a possible WWE sale has swirled for much of the past year ever since the company cut talent following WrestleMania 37. The cuts only continued throughout 2021 and over 80 wrestlers had been let go by the end of the year, with speculation suggesting Vince McMahon was looking to streamline the company before a sale.

Khan had previously not ruled out a sale of the company, noting WWE were "open for business on anything and everything."

If WWE were open to a sale, an interested party would have to pay a massive amount of money with the promotion's net worth currently hovering around $4 billion with a share price of around $49.
