WWE held the latest edition of their biggest show of the year over the weekend as WrestleMania 40 emanated from Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7.

The company held the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Friday, April 5 following a live edition of SmackDown. The likes of Lia Maivia, Muhammad Ali, Thunderbolt Patterson, Bull Nakano, the US Express, and Paul Heyman were inducted as part of the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame class, the first to be chosen by Triple H.

As is tradition, WWE presented the 2024 Hall of Fame class again at WrestleMania 40, with the inductees or family members appearing on the Mania stage during night two. WWE changed plans for the presentation, though, and Fightful Select reported that Trish Stratus and Lita were originally scheduled to be involved with the Hall of Fame segment in some capacity. Those plans were ultimately scrapped, however.

Trish Stratus hasn't appeared on WWE TV since Payback 2023, when she concluded her feud with Becky Lynch. Lita has been off WWE TV since the April 10, 2023 edition of Monday Night Raw where she was taken out by Trish Stratus, a segment which led to Stratus replacing her in the WWE Women's Tag Team Title defence alongside Becky Lynch. Stratus ultimately turned on Lynch after the pairing dropped the belts to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
