NJPW Announces Second Wrestle Kingdom 17 Event

A second Wrestle Kingdom 17 show is on the way

Wrestle Kingdom 17 won't be over after the January 4 show from the Tokyo Dome comes to a close.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced today that a second night of Wrestle Kingdom 17 will emanate from Yokohama Arena on Saturday, January 21. No matches have been made official for that show as of yet.

Yokohama Arena was a part of Wrestle Kingdom 16 in 2022 as the venue hosted the NJPW vs. Pro Wrestling NOAH portion of the festivities. That show came to an end with a win for New Japan as Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Keiji Muto and Kaito Kiyomiya.

Multiple matches have already been announced for the January 4 Wrestle Kingdom show from the Tokyo Dome. Kenny Omega will make his NJPW return at the event to challenge Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship, while KAIRI will defend her IWGP Women's Title against Tam Nakano in an all-Stardom clash.

In the main event of Wrestle Kingdom, Jay White will put the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on the line against G1 Climax Winner Kazuchika Okada.
