New Japan Pro-Wrestling have announced a new deal to air on UK television, with major NJPW shows to air for free on the new extreme sports focused Extreme Channel.

Starting with a free replay of the recent Dominion show on June 14, NJPW and Extreme shared the following press release to reveal the partnership:

“New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) has signed an exclusive TV broadcast deal with the Extreme Channel.

“Extreme will air NJPW’s biggest monthly events – featuring huge pro wrestling stars including Jon Moxley, Jack Sabre Jr. and Hiroshi Tanahashi – across the UK on Freeview TV.

“The Extreme Channel launched on Freeview last week, bringing its adrenaline-fuelled content into more than 16 million homes on Freeview Channel 295. NJPW programming will begin with ‘Dominion’ on Friday 14th June at 8pm.

“‘Dominion’ takes place from its traditional home in the shadows of the famous Osaka Castle. Six championships as well as the Best of the Super Jr. trophy are all at stake on a loaded night! NJPW’s ‘Dominion’ 2024 will be broadcast on Friday June 14th at 8pm.”

There’s no word on what NJPW programming Extreme will be carrying going forward.
