NJPW Capital Collision Results

All the results from NJPW's Capital Collision

NJPW held their Capital Collision 2024 PPV last night in the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington D.C., and it was an event which held several title matches and other big clashes across the card, though there were no new champions crowned when all was said and done.

Mercedes Moné had the first defence of her NJPW Strong Women’s Championship, which she won against Stephanie Vaquer back at the Forbidden Door 2024 show. She outlasted Momo Watanabe in a hard-fought main event, clashing with their respective joshi and lucha libre styles to counteract one another. Watanabe tried to gain the advantage with underhanded tactics on multiple occasions, but Moné showed resilience with several kickouts. Despite Watanabe’s attempts to keep cheating, it was Moné who walked away after hitting his finisher and locking in the Bank Statement to score the victory.

In other title matches on the card, Gabe Kidd defeated Lio Rush to retain his NJPW Strong Openweight Title in a blistering back and forth match. TMDK kept hold of their NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Titles, defeating Hechicero & Virus of CMLL.
