NJPW Classic Programming Schedule On AXS TV Revealed

New Japan Pro-Wrestling programming is slated to return to AXS TV today, initially with several classic episodes before a weekly series comprised of new content begins on Thursday, March 3.

AXS have now announced their lineup of classic programming and the January 20 show will put a spotlight on the Wrestle Kingdom 12 match between Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Title - arguably the most important match of the last 10 years as it led to the formation of AEW.

Other matches to air between January 20 and February 24 include the G1 Climax 28 and 29 finals and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Jay White from the 2019 New Beginning In Osaka show which saw The Switchblade win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

NJPW on AXS TV will air on Thursday nights at 10 pm ET.

  • Thursday, January 20 - Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho from Wrestle Kingdom 12
  • Thursday, January 27 - Kazuchika Okada vs. Tetsuya Naito from Wrestle Kingdom 12
  • Thursday, February 3 - Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Kota Ibushi in the G1 Climax 28 Final
  • Thursday, February 10 - Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Jay White from The New Beginning In Osaka 2019
  • Thursday, February 17 - Jon Moxley vs. Juice Robinson from Best Of Super Juniors 26
  • Thursday, February 24 - Kota Ibushi vs. Jay White in the G1 Climax 29 Final
