NJPW Royal Quest IV Results

New Japan Pro-Wrestling returned to the United Kingdom on Sunday, October 20 as the promotion presented Royal Quest IV from the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in London, England.

Zack Sabre Jr. had won the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship earlier in the week and ZSJ defended the title for the first time in the main event, taking on SANADA.

The former champion looked to gain boos from the English crowd throughout the match and SANADA tried to wear the champion down in the final moments, only to find himself trapped in a Clarky Cat, giving him no choice but to tap out.

In the semi-main event, Hiroshi Tanahashi continued his retirement tour but the NJPW President was unable to win gold as he and Tomohiro Ishii unsuccessfully challenged Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls for the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships. Haste and Nicholls will defend the belts against Grizzled Young Veterans at Fighting Spirit Unleashed.

A new Bullet Club member was also revealed during the show as Taiji Ishimori confirmed his mystery partner for the opening contest was Robbie X. The new tag team worked well together, defeating CPF, before they celebrated with a Too Sweet.
