NJPW's Alex Coughlin Says He Has Retired

Alex Coughlin announces his retirement

Despite being just 30 years of age and regular member of the BULLET CLUB War Dogs faction in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Alex Coughlin has claimed that he is now retired. In a post on X, Coughlin made the announcement that his career as an in-ring performer was being brought to an abrupt end.

“Yeah I’m retired and it sucks now leave me the f*ck alone. Actually I have some merch and gear to sell still so don’t f*ck off just yet.”

This announcement comes just a couple of days after fellow War Dogs member David Finlay noted in a social media post that the crazy and violent Steel Cage match at NJPW New Beginning In Osaka against United Empire had “claimed” one of the War Dogs. This looks to have been in reference to Coughlin.

Coughlin has been a part of NJPW since back in 2018, becoming one half of the NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Championships alongside Gabe Kidd. Further details on the reasons why he has entered into an early retirement are at this point unknown.
