NJPW's Hiromu Takahashi Fights A Dinosaur, Quickly Loses

Hiromu Takahashi was no match for a Gigantosaurus

Hiromu Takahashi might be able to defeat his fellow human beings but he was no match for a dinosaur today.

Takahashi went one-on-one with a Gigantosaurus in Japan and the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion quickly found himself running away from the mechanical animal as it almost tore him limb from limb. Hiromu soon received a hellacious tail whip from the Gigantosaurus, though, that left the New Japan Pro-Wrestling star down and out. Fortunately for Takahashi, the dinosaur showed mercy, allowing him to live on this occasion.

The exhibition took place as part of the promotion for Dino Safari Gigant, a travelling performance that will see mechanical dinosaurs fight and raise their young across a tour in Yokohama, Sendai, and Osaka this month in Japan. The tour will showcase 15 mechanical dinosaurs from 10 species.

Takahashi remains the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, having regained the gold at Wrestle Kingdom in January of this year. He is currently away from New Japan due to the ongoing G1 Climax tournament.
