NJPW's Will Ospreay Wins Another Title

Another title for Ospreay

Does professional wrestling have a new belt collector?

New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Will Ospreay added another championship to his collection on Sunday, December 12, defeating Trey Miguel and Blake Christian at Warrior Wrestling 17 to win the promotion's title.

Previous champion Trey Miguel had held the gold for over a year, having defeated Brian Pillman Jr. and Brian Cage in a Triple Threat Match back in September 2020.

With his latest win, Ospreay is now Warrior Wrestling Champion and RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion, a title he has held for 668 days. He also continues to carry around his version of the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship and Ospreay has repeatedly claimed he is the 'real' world champion in NJPW since he never lost the gold when the belt was vacated in May of this year.

Ospreay will have the chance to capture the actual IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on night two of Wrestle Kingdom 16 when he faces the winner of Kazuchika Okada vs. Shingo Takagi.
