New Japan Pro-Wrestling have issued a storyline suspension to Juice Robinson following unprofessional scenes at Capital Collision on April 15.

Robinson was set to face Fred Rosser on the show, but the match was deemed a no-contest due to ‘Rock Hard’ assaulting Rosser before the bell rang. Robinson also put his hands on a NJPW official, with NJPW suspending the Bullet Club Gold member as result.

New Japan issued the following statement on the suspension: “New Japan Pro-Wrestling holds the safety of its competitors and staff at the highest priority, and after careful consideration, has determined that Juice Robinson be suspended effective immediately and until further notice.”

Robinson was set to face Lance Archer in the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship contender tournament at Collision in Philadelphia on April 16, but Rosser took his place due to the suspension. The match was changed to a Hardcore Rules Match at Archer’s suggestion, and Robinson made his presence felt once more as he arrived in Philly to attack Rosser with a sock full of quarters, enabling Archer to get the win and advance to the final.

Robinson recently formed Bullet Club Gold in AEW with Jay White, and it remains to be seen if this ‘suspension’ will stop a full-scale Bullet Club war taking place in an NJPW arena.
