NJPW Unable To Book Several AEW Talents For Wrestle Dynasty Due To Collision Taping
There is a clash in schedule ahead of Wrestle Dynasty
Dec 29, 2024
The first ever Wrestle Dynasty PPV event is fast approaching, taking place on January 5 at the Tokyo Dome just one night after NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 19 PPV. The show will see a collaboration between AEW, NJPW, Stardom, ROH and CMLL, offering up a big supercard featuring stars from all those promotions.
When it comes to the AEW and ROH cohort, the likes of Willow Nightingale, Ricochet, Dustin Rhodes, Sammy Guevara, Konosuke Takeshita, Jack Perry, Claudio Castagnoli, Brody King, Kenny Omega, Mercedes Mone, and The Young Bucks will all be competing on the card. However, Fightful Select are reporting that NJPW were interested in a number of other AEW talents.
Wrestle Dynasty takes place on a Sunday, just one day after AEW’s weekly Collision show. There were several talents that NJPW wanted but were unable to procure due to them being booked for Collision the night prior at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. Due to time differences, there is no way those select wrestlers would be able to make both shows.
The card for Wrestle Dynasty 2025 is as follows:
