HOOK is out of action after suffering a concussion, and there is no firm timetable on when the second generation star could return to All Elite Wrestling.

The multi-time FTW Champion last competed in April, and visibly vomited in the ring during a tag match alongside Samoa Joe against Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. Despite reports stating HOOK was not concussed, HOOK himself stated that he was.

The ‘Cold Hearted Handsome Devil’ did make a brief appearance during the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing in May, but Fightful Select in their Answers Q&A suggests this cameo was done to plant seeds for future story purposes, with HOOK not fully cleared then. Following on, Fightful suggested HOOK still isn’t cleared and there is no firm timetable on when he could make his return.

After being taken off TV, HOOK’s spot in The Opps was taken by Powerhouse Hobbs, and with Opps figurehead Samoa Joe taken off TV himself to promote Twisted Metal season 2, it was hoped that HOOK could return to the group to fill Joe’s void. However, it seems that is not going to happen anytime soon.
