NWA Returning With Back For The Attack Pay-Per-View

NWA is coming back

After an almost one-year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic, NWA will return on March 21 at 4 pm ET with the Back For The Attack pay-per-view. The show will be streamed on FITE TV and the streaming network has arranged to distribute the pay-per-view via its cable and satellite partners. The likes of NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis, Thunder Rosa, Aron Stevens, Trevor Murdoch, Elijah Burke, Tim Storm and Kamille are all scheduled to appear on March 21.

The weekly series NWA Powerrr will also return on Tuesday, March 23 at 6:05 pm ET and will be broadcast on Tuesday nights on FITE TV via a "low-cost subscription bundle."

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis said: "I'm incredibly proud of this new deal between the NWA and FITE; from the beginning of the Lightning One era of the NWA, FITE have been great pay-per-view partners for the NWA and with the incredible growth that they have experienced in the last couple of years it's very exciting to enter into a streaming agreement with FITE for our flagship show NWA Powerrr. Streaming is the future and we're proud to be with a leader in the field for sports entertainment."

Billy Corgan added: "For so many, this last year or so has been challenging on just about every level imaginable, and what's been difficult is that we haven't been able to help as we'd like: by entertaining and putting on the best show possible for our great NWA fans. And so in that we can't thank FITE enough for becoming our exclusive broadcast partner going forward, and affording us this great opportunity to bring back POWERRR as well as regularly scheduled PPV's."

Rumours of NWA's return emerged over the weekend and reports noted the promotion was set to hold tapings from March 21 to March 24. Old episodes of Powerrr were also pulled from the promotion's YouTube channel which further suggested that something was afoot.
