On the back of the 2024 edition of NXT Deadline, which took place on December 7 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, WWE have officially announced the next big event on NXT’s calendar.

The first NXT PLE of 2025 is set to once again be New Year’s Evil, marking the fifth yearly edition of the show. It is set to take place on January 7 in Los Angeles, California, though no venue has been officially announced as of yet. New Year’s Evil will be held on NXT’s regular Tuesday, meaning that it won’t be a PLE. Notably, it will take place just one day after Monday Night RAW’s debut on Netflix.

Two major title matches are already set for the show, as both Iron Survivor winners from NXT Deadline will receive their respective title matches. The recently returned Oba Femi emerged victorious in the men’s match, and will now take on Trick Williams for the NXT Men’s Championship. On the women’s side, Giulia outlasted five other competitors to earn a shot at Roxanne Perez’s NXT Women’s Championship. In a backstage segment, Tiffany Stratton teased cashing in her Money In The Bank briefcase at NXT New Year’s Evil against the winner of Perez and Giulia.
