NXT Talents Didn't Know About Main Roster Call-Up During The WWE Draft

The brand switch was a surprise to the current NXT champions

Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn weren't told in advance that they would be called up from NXT to the main roster during the WWE Draft.

The current NXT Women's Tag Team Champions were drafted to SmackDown during last Friday's episode of the show, which served as the first day of the 2023 Draft.

Speaking about the experience during a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Fyre said:

"I've been saying it for days, I still don't feel like it's quite settled in yet. We had no idea, no idea that we were going be draftedBut it means so much. We've both worked really, really hard for this for a long time. Getting things like this, you know you're being appreciated. It just means the world".

Dawn added: "The timing of it, with Stand & Deliver being a month ago and that was our second TV tag match. We've only been together a short time"

The Scottish-born stars feuded with each other in December and January, before they began to team together. They will defend their titles against Kayden Carter & Katana Chance on tonight's episode of NXT.
