Bad Bunny and Damian Priest are pushing to headline WWE's upcoming Backlash premium live event, according to a new report.

In going through some notes prior to last night's episode of Raw, the WRKD Wrestling Twitter account noted that: "Priest will continue to heat up his feud w/ Bad Bunny, as they're pushing to main event #Backlash".

The two are scheduled to collide in a San Juan Street Fight on the night.

There was both a video hyping their match, as well as Priest threatening his opponent in Spanish on last night's Raw. The Archer of Infamy also scored the pin in an LWO versus The Judgment Day six-person intergender tag match, when he pinned Rey Mysterio following the South of Heaven.

Backlash will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Bad Bunny was born in the country, while Priest was born in New York but is of Puerto Rican descent. Backlash will be WWE's first major event in the Island of Enchantment since New Year's Revolution 2005.

Backlash will mark the Grammy award-winning rapper's third professional wrestling match, following a tag bout at WrestleMania 37 and a cameo in the 2022 Royal Rumble. It is his first singles outing.

The other realistic possibility for the show's main event is the first-time meeting between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar.
