NXT Title Match Set For WWE NXT No Mercy

The NXT Title will be on the line at No Mercy

The NXT Championship will be on the line at the upcoming No Mercy event on September 30, with champion Carmelo Hayes hoping to continue his reign, and emerge from No Mercy with the gold still firmly around his waist.

On the September 12 edition of NXT, Ilja Dragunov and Wes Lee went one-on-one to decide who would be installed as number one contender, with a shot at Hayes hanging in the balance. After a very physical affair, Dragunov emerged victorious, and will be looking to finally land the gold at the third time of asking.

Dragunov previously competed for the title at Halloween Havoc 2022 and The Great American Bash 2023, the latter against Hayes. As for Lee, he has packed up his locker room and ‘gone home’ seemingly walking out of NXT for the last time.

Updated card, WWE NXT No Mercy, September 30, 2023:

  • Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Ilja Dragunov - NXT Championship
  • Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Mustafa Ali - NXT North American Championship
  • Noam Dar (c) vs. Global Heritage Invitational Tournament winner - NXT Heritage Cup
  • Baron Corbin vs. Bron Breakker
