Original Sin Cara Reclaims Mistico Name In CMLL
Mistico II is believed to have departed the company
The original Sin Cara in WWE made his name in Mexico as Mistico, but during his excursion to the WWE, CMLL put someone else under the hood, leaving Sin Cara to take the name Caristico when he returned.
Now, it seems Sin Cara is returning to the Mistico name, with Mas Lucha reporting that Mistico II has departed CMLL:
“Místico has stopped being a part of CMLL. The member of the Muñoz dynasty presented his resignation this Wednesday, according to sources close to the wrestler consulted by Más Lucha. There is no certainty about the name that the wrestler from Tala, Jalisco will use from this moment on. However, the name "Dralístico" is in the process of registration in favour of the Muñoz family.”
Mistico II - now seemingly known as Dralistico - is the brother of ROH’s RUSH and Dragon Lee, and the ROH stars took to Twitter to congratulate their brother on his exit from CMLL.
Dragon Lee said “The best is yet to come, brother, so show who you are! The Muñoz family is together once again!! The word forbidden does not exist!”
Whilst RUSH Tweeted "There is no day that does not come, nor a deadline that is not met. Brother, it was time you were with your family once again. Congratulations, Brother!!"
As for the original Mistico, CMLL officially announced his return to the gimmick on their Twitter account, saying:
“MISTICO REBORN! Carístico will once again carry the character that led him to international fame! The character that revolutionised Lucha Libre returns!”
