Travis Scott wasn't originally scheduled to have such a big role at WWE WrestleMania 41, it has been revealed in the new WWE: Unreal docuseries that was released on Netflix on Tuesday, July 29.

Travis Scott made his first appearance on WWE programming during the Netflix premiere of Monday Night Raw on January 6, 2025. Scott was then involved in John Cena's heel turn at Elimination Chamber as he helped beat down Cody Rhodes with Cena and The Rock. The rapper was also infamously involved in the main event of WrestleMania 41, helping Cena defeat Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

WWE: Unreal has revealed the original plans for Travis Scott at WrestleMania 41 would have seen him accompany Rey Mysterio to the ring for Rey's match with Chad Gable. Scott's name is listed with Mysterio on a whiteboard along with a version of the WrestleMania 41 card that was produced before WWE decided Jey Uso would win the Men's Royal Rumble match.

Rey Mysterio was ultimately booked to face El Grande Americano at WrestleMania 41, but the match was scrapped due to Mysterio suffering an injury on the go-home episode of SmackDown before WrestleMania. Chad Gable confirmed this week that he was El Grande Americano prior to his own injury in June.

Fans shouldn't expect Travis Scott to appear on WWE TV any time soon as the two sides have reportedly had a "full falling out" and it is now "open season" for WWE talents to criticise Scott.
