Over Budget Battle Royal Returns At AEW Double Or Nothing - Three Entrants Announced

Won by Flip Gordon the first time around...

The Over Budget Battle Royal was one of the highlights of the All In event last September. Flip Gordon (competing as Chico El Luchador due to his 'differences' with Cody Rhodes) won the match and went on to face Jay Lethal for the Ring Of Honor Championship later in the night.

The OBBR will be returning at Double Or Nothing on May 25 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Arena - and three competitors have already been announced. Those names are Sonny Kiss, Kip Sabian and Brandon Cutler.

Just like last time, the winner gets something pretty special. Although, during the latest episode of The Road To Double Or Nothing, Cody Rhodes didn't reveal what that is. He did say the name of the winner will 'be on the board' in AEW, so read into that what you will.

This is the fifth match announced for All Elite Wrestling's first official event, joining:

  • Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega

  • Hangman Page vs. PAC

  • SCU vs. CIMA and two partners to be announced

  • Britt Baker vs. Nyla Rose vs. Kylie Rae

We should also be seeing The Lucha Brothers vs. The Young Bucks if the ticket announcement party was anything to go by, while Cody will be in singles action against an as yet unknown opponent.
